Presenters André Nogue and Marena Charron introduced the age-friendly concept and traced its evolution, with particular emphasis on developments in Saskatchewan and Regina. Their presentation highlighted the key characteristics of an age-friendly business and outlined practical steps organizations can take to begin the journey, including conducting a self-assessment and developing an action plan tailored to their workplace.
The session concluded with a clear message: businesses becoming age-friendly is not only a meaningful expression of social responsibility, but also a smart business strategy.
AFR hopes that interested Breakfast Club members will partner in developing a follow-up strategy to encourage, recognize, and promote more age-friendly businesses in the community.
